Mooney Everett’s wills and probate lawyers become Dementia Friends

me-169The wills and probate team at Mooney Everett Solicitors in Lancashire is now fully dementia friendly as lawyers Pam Briscoe and Gayle Woods have now completed their Dementia Friends training.

Run by the Alzheimer’s Society, the Dementia Friends programme was launched to take away the stigma that leads many people with dementia to experience loneliness and social exclusion. The programme aims to change people’s perceptions of dementia by transforming the way we think, talk and act about the condition. By simply attending a one hour training session, or watching an online video, you can become a Dementia Friend and learn more about the small ways you can help someone with dementia.

As Dementia Friends, Pam and Gayle will be striving to make the workplace at Mooney Everett Solicitors more dementia friendly, as well as being part of the dementia friendly community in Ormskirk.

“Becoming dementia friends has helped us further our understanding of how we can help clients and relatives living with dementia when planning for their future by making a will or a lasting power of attorney” says Pam.
