Chloe Youd, a Licensed Conveyancer at Mooney Everett Solicitors in Ormskirk, is running the Virgin London Marathon and raising funds for Liverpool located Woodlands Hospice. Being a keen runner, the 26+ mile run through London has always been an ambition for Chloe, but she has never had the opportunity to compete in the record-breaking event. This year is different, recently receiving confirmation that her application had been successful and she is confirmed as one of the 30,000 plus participants.
Chloe works full-time as a conveyancer for Mooney Everett Solicitors, so her extensive training regime revolves around her busy work life and life at home, with both giving her 100% support in her efforts. Pushing herself to the limit, Chloe is motivated by her decision to add another dimension to her run, by raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause – Woodlands Hospice who are dedicated to providing hospice care for the people of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby in Knowsley.
Originally founded in 1996, Woodlands Hospice is within the grounds of Aintree University Hospital and aims to improve the lives of people who have a life-limiting illness. They help them to live actively and be as independent as possible extend the support to carers, family and close friends. Woodlands Hospice must raise more than £4,000 every day to ensure that all their services and facilities remain free of charge to patients and their families. Chloe aims to raise as much money as possible by running the London Marathon for this worthwhile cause.
Chloe is running the London Marathon for a very special reason and says:
“As a keen runner I have always wanted to run a marathon and I was lucky to get a ballot place for the London marathon. I have chosen to raise money for Woodlands Hospice as they looked after my Grandad last year before he passed away. The care and support they provided, both my Grandad and our Family, was amazing, second to none. They were professional, sincere and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to spend his last few weeks. I would like to raise as much as possible for the Hospice”.
She has a Virgin Money Official fundraising page here https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ChloeYoud where people can pledge money and support for Chloe and Woodlands Hospice.
Good Luck Chloe, we wish you all the very best
It is only through the support and generosity of the local community that Woodlands Hospice can continue to be there for those they care for and their families at a time when they need it most.
