Mooney Everett Solicitors helps local people in crisis by supporting Ormskirk foodbank

On Monday 3 December, some of the legal team from Mooney Everett Solicitors volunteered at the Ormskirk foodbank. They helped to sort, date and store the donations from local Tesco collections which totalled 1,311kg and is the equivalent of 3,150 meals – the foodbank’s biggest collection ever!

Clients and staff from Mooney Everett Solicitors also made donations collected over the past month, which totalled 156kg – double the amount donated by the firm last year – the equivalent of 370 meals.

As Christmas approaches, charitable organisations such as Ormskirk foodbank are more in need of support than at any other time of the year, not just in donations, but also in time from volunteers.

Gayle Owen, wills and probate lawyer at Mooney Everett said ‘we help at the Ormskirk foodbank every year and are happy to give our time to help out the local community.  We know that Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, so a big thank you to everyone who supported our collection.’

The Ormskirk Foodbank provides food, drink, toiletries and other essentials to those in crisis.
