Angie is a solicitor in the family law department and joined Mooney Everett Solicitors in 2017 with over 20 years’ experience of working across Lancashire and Merseyside, advising clients on all aspects of relationship breakdown.
She specialises in helping people going though divorce or separation from a partner, including resolving financial settlements and negotiating arrangements for children. She has Family Law Advanced Panel Accreditation in the specialist areas of finance and domestic abuse, and can advise those defending allegations of domestic violence or needing advice and support as victims.
Angie is a qualified Resolution mediator, and achieved FMCA status in 2016. She is also a qualified inter-personal mediator giving her a broad experience of all manner of mediation disputes. She can conduct Mediation Information Assessment Meetings (MIAMs) by direct appointment or referral from another solicitor to assess if a family dispute can be settled by mediation, collaborative law or any other form of alternative dispute resolution, rather than having to resort to court.
Having lived and worked in the local area all her life, Angie has developed an excellent referral network of mediators across Liverpool and Merseyside and can signpost clients to other support services as necessary. She established the mediation POD for Merseyside. She has provided advice in children’s centres in Ormskirk and Skelmersdale and was also on the board of trustees for Sefton Women and Children’s Aid. Angie has strong connections and a real commitment to local support services, offering her clients an excellent all-round service.
Angie’s career in law started when she was still at college in Southport, when she was talent spotted by a local law firm and given the opportunity to gain a valuable insight into the legal profession. She went on to study for a law degree at Lancaster University and then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester, eventually qualifying as a solicitor in 2006.
Over the course of her career, Angie has gained an exceptional reputation for delivering the highest standards of service and client care. She is an experienced family lawyer, who understands that every client is unique, with different circumstances, needs, objectives and priorities. As a member of Resolution, she always promotes family-focused solutions that put the client’s needs first.
“I work with clients, not cases” says Angie. “I could do the job for half the price, but I don’t know what parts of my experience and knowledge you would like me to leave out.”
Angie has developed a number of different, affordable and structured fee options for clients, in order to offer bespoke tailored packages to suit each client’s need and budget. She can see clients at the Mooney Everett offices in Ormskirk and appointments are also offered over Skype.

“I love working in Ormskirk because there is a lovely mix of being in a small local market town with the services of the city centre close by and the feel of a university town. This really mirrors the services we provide at Mooney Everett, as we offer city grade legal advice with the unique personal touch of local knowledge and support” says Angela.
In her spare time, Angie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, often going on mad adventures or camping and days out whenever she gets the chance. Her spare time is also spent enjoying walking on Formby Beach or visiting the zoo or trips out to Martin Mere in Burscough.
